Madeira is calling! 🌴 We started our Erasmus+ week
The first two days of our Madeira adventure passed unbelievably fast and it is a real „ride“ indeed. We are in the island of eternal spring within the project Erasmus+ with the aim to get to know new people and try their living and learning.
Right after the arrival, we were welcomed at school in Estreito de Câmara de Lobos. After its tour and the lunch we had together, we started presenting Gemer so the locals knew where we came from.
However, the biggest fun came in the afternoon – a game „Peddy-paper“ waited for us. In the mixed teams, we completed tasks and got to know the coastal town which was the favourite of Winston Churchill, too.
On Tuesday, we started more officially, but the solemn atmosphere lasted only for a short moment. In the morning, we were accepted directly at townhall in Câmara de Lobos. Later, we walked through a historical centre which looked exactly as in the postcards. The best item of the programme was canoeing! We couldn’t try it because of big waves in the bay, but a simulator replaced it for us. We made the hard yards and enjoyed the view of cliffs.
We ended the day at the school where we participated at Maths lesson (yes, they also count there!) and a great lesson of mindfulness. It „switched“ us to complete relax. 😊
